It was an egg-citing day at The Salvation Army Kroc Center Hawaii where staff and volunteers hosted a drive-through food distribution for West Oahu families. Salvation Army officers and personnel were seen smiling through their masks, carrying trays of eggs to each car that drove up to the Kroc Center parking lot.

“We’re so grateful for Aloha Harvest and Eggs Hawaii for their donation of the eggs,” says Major Phil Lum, Corps Officer. “With their partnership, we were able to provide these eggs to distressed families living in our community.”

More than 4,000 eggs were giving to those in need during the drive-through distribution.

The Salvation Army Kroc Center Hawaii may have suspended their normal operations, but that’s not stopping their work in supporting their community. The facility and its staff transitioned to emergency response mode, mobilizing its resources to provide food for disadvantaged families in West Oahu amid the pandemic.
