Thanks to generous donors, volunteers and business partners, The Salvation Army hand-delivered 560 bags of canned foods and 280 bags of fresh mangoes and sweet potatoes, door-to-door to 280 households in Mayor Wright Homes, a federal low-income public housing development in Honolulu.

Each bag of canned goods contains enough food to provide ten meals, giving each household enough food to prepare twenty meals.

The need for food among families living in Mayor Wright Homes was first identified when The Salvation Army Family Services Office reached out to Mayor Wright Homes offering food to its residents.
