Bank of Hawaii's roots run deep. With a strong commitment to serve those in need, Bank of Hawaii works with The Salvation Army to create real long-term impacts that make a lasting difference. Whether it's by providing disaster relief after volcanic eruptions and floods destroy homes, or by working to sustain basic needs for struggling families, Bank of Hawaii strengthens local communities through their support of The Salvation Army.

With a generous donation of $12,500 to The Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services and efforts to raise funds at all Bank of Hawaii’s 69 branches across Hawaii, the West Pacific Region and American Samoa, Bank of Hawaii made a big step in response to volcano relief. Their support helped provide tens of thousands of meals for those affected, provide basic essentials to help rebuild lives, and forge long-term solutions that help families and economies recover. 100% of disaster donations are allocated to disaster response operations such meal coordination, hydration, and emotional and spiritual care.

After heavy rains and floods destroyed homes in Kauai, Bank of Hawaii met the greatest needs for those affected by contributing $5,000 to The Salvation Army's Emergency Disaster Services to provide relief efforts and hold local communities above water. 100% of disaster donations are allocated to disaster response operations such meal coordination, hydration, and emotional and spiritual care and case management.

Creating Hope In Saipan

Bank of Hawaii sustains basic needs for struggling families





Bank of Hawaii's support has been instrumental in establishing the The Salvation Army Saipan Drop-in Center. The Saipan Drop-In Center offers a soup kitchen and other services that support the local community. Bank of Hawaii continues to provide funding for the program on Saipan to cover operations and overhead costs, effectively sustaining basic needs for struggling families working to get their feet off the ground.

Every year, Bank of Hawaii’s Blue Crew volunteers hundreds of hours of manpower to help those who are hungry and hurting at The Salvation Army events and locations. Whether they are helping to provide a free meal to the public at The Salvation Army Annual Thanksgiving Dinner on Oahu or volunteering at the The Salvation Army Saipan food pantry, Bank of Hawaii affects positive change by fighting hunger with love.
