The Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Service teams have been activated across Maui.
Give NowOn Tuesday, August 8, a wind-whipped brush fire wreaked havoc in Maui, causing catastrophic devastation to thousands of residents. Homes have been destroyed, and many lack access to necessities, including food. The Salvation Army’s Emergency Disaster Service teams and volunteers are deploying to affected areas in West Maui, providing meals, spiritual and emotional support and basic needs for those who have lost everything.

The Kahului Corps has been providing a wide range of services to needy families for more than 110 years. It provides emergency assistance to struggling families including food, rental and utilities assistance.
It also operates the William Booth Safe Haven, a drop-in center which provides basic services to the homeless and the Care-A-Van program which utilizes a van equipped with basic survival needs and medical supplies.
Current needs include donations of shelf-stable and non-perishable food, hygiene products, cleaning supplies, and personal protection equipment.
