Smiles make the greatest gifts. Image

Smiles make the greatest gifts.

We work to assist the whole person through gifts the serve the body, mind and soul.

Millions of American parents cannot afford to buy their kids Christmas presents.

The holidays bring added financial and emotional stress to families living in poverty.

The Salvation Army's mission shines brightest at Christmastime.

The Salvation Army celebrates the birth of Christ by spreading His hope, love and joy to the less fortunate members of society. In fact, our gift-giving programs and fundraising initiatives are a direct answer to God’s calling to care for the poor, hungry, sick, and displaced. From physical needs such as grocery, utility and gift assistance, to emotional experiences including holiday events and traditions, to spiritual guidance that provides healing and hope, we work to assist the whole person through gifts that serve the body, mind and soul

Holiday Meals

The Salvation Army provides holiday meals for families unable to create a special meal themselves. Several community centers will have to-go holiday meals this year to provide Christmas spirit in a safe manner.

Angel Tree

When you're struggling financially to care for your family, holiday gifts are often not feasible. To receive Christmas assistance for your family, contact your local corps community center, or call 773-205-3690, or email us at Aloha.Hawaii@usw.salvationarmy.org.

Red Kettles

These iconic red kettles signal the start of the holiday season. Donations collected in these buckets support the services in your neighborhood. Bell ringers are both seasonal employees and volunteers. Learn more about Bell Ringing today.

And while Kettle Pay means contactless giving is available, the pandemic means there are fewer red kettles and fewer shoppers out and about. From September 16 - January 31st, help brighten the holidays by fundraising or donating through our Virtual Red Kettle. If you would like to have a red kettle at your next corporate event, you can make a request online today.

Virtual Angel Tree & Walmart RISE

The Salvation Army Angel Tree program allows donors to purchase gifts and clothes for families in need, making their holidays brighter. You can shop online from the comfort and safety of your home or opt to shop in-person. In fact, from October 15 until December 11, you may shop our online Walmart Registry for Good Angel Tree. Please consider being an angel for a child, senior, or family in need this Christmas. Groups, businesses and families are welcome!
